MiLaDo Teacher app for iPhone and iPad

MiLaDo is a professional lessons and practices management solution for music schools and studios. 
It has been developed in collaboration with teachers, parents, students, and it borrows from concepts validated in academic research.

There are two apps: MiLaDo Teacher (subscription-based) and MiLaDo Student (free)


Benefits for teachers:

MiLaDo Teacher is used to manage students, their lessons and progress. You can easily track what was said and done, and quickly create new lessons.
Optionally, you can connect with Students by inviting them to use the free MiLaDo Student app. That unlocks a rich set of collaboration and remote teaching features in a private and secure setup. It is a great way to increase customer engagement. 
Alternatively, for students not using the app, you can share lessons as PDFs.


Benefits for parents / students / families:

The MiLaDo Student app is the free. It is used to view lessons, share progress and build good habits. It was designed to be engaging but free of gimmicks so it is equally suitable for kids and mature students.
Parents appreciate having a clear understanding of what is being done in music tuitions. It is a considerable investment (time & money); with proven developmental benefits when things go well.



Tips to get started
------------------------

Inviting a student:
A student must be invited to use the app. Ask for their Apple ID email to invite them (Settings > Apple ID on their device).
From the dashboard, tap the "+ student" button and follow the instructions.

Lesson creation can be sped up in several ways:
(1) build a library of tasks templates that can be imported into a lesson at the touch of a button. Templates are searchable, and they can be tagged for effective classification. You can include various attachment types (audio, video, docs, photos, URLs).
(2) export selected task(s) from any existing lesson (into templates and to another lesson) in seconds. For example, it is common to copy most tasks from one week to the next for the a student when creating a new lesson.

Video/Audio annotation tool:
You can attach videos/audio content to your lessons, and so can students to their practices. This is very useful for interactions between lessons or remote teaching. With the MiLaDo annotation tool you can add timed annotations to pinpoints area of interests and share insightful comments.

Teacher dashboard:
It provides an overview of all students, when they last practiced, etc. You get notifications if they send a question, attach a file (e.g annotated video or audio) to their practice, or add a comment to their practice self-assessment. You can respond right from the app (by adding annotations to a video that was shared, etc.)
There is also a pop-up activity monitor which lists all activities for the past two weeks in case you want to check anything.

Recognizing great work:
You can send claps with comments to students to celebrate their achievements and motivate them.
A number of such recognitions are automated to lighten the workload of teachers. Automated Claps are only awarded for doing significant work. For example, when completing all practices for a lesson (typically a weeks worth of work).

Teaching several instruments:
The app groups students by instrument on the dashboard. You can have the same student added multiple times for different instruments.

* Data automatically synchronised between devices under your Apple account
* Installing the Teacher and Student apps on a same device is supported (for testing, demo, etc).
